Hanover College is a private liberal arts college, located in Hanover, which is a town in Hanover Township, in Jefferson County, USA, situated along the Ohio River, with a population of nearly 3000 inhabitants, according to the 2000 census.
Hanover College was established in 1827, being founded by by the Rev. John Finley Crowe, fact which makes it the oldest private college in the state. Hanover's athletic teams are known as the Panthers and they compete in 16 sports, in NCAA Division III. Their distinctive colors are red and blue.
